What We Do

Scott Kane founded Gray Hair Management® in 2000 with the mission to help senior managers and executives find new opportunities and employment. Originally, the company was just a networking group which was comprised of contacts Scott had met along the way in his job search. He began to catalogue those people and in 2000, there were about 250 in his network. By the end of 2005, the network had grown to more than 5,200 active members.

In 2001, Scott partnered with Jack Heyden and began to revamp the Gray Hair Management model. Gray Hair Management currently provides professional coaching to managers and executives to help them win the race for a new opportunity using unique techniques and processes. In addition, the company sends over 1,500 monthly job leads and networking opportunities to the GHM network, and is now fast approaching over 20,000 managers and executives in its US, UK and worldwide database.

In 2009, Paul Kelly, GHM Europe Managing Director and finding himself in a similar situation to Jack & Scott in 2000, met with the GHM USA team in Chicago. After a few months' discussions, an agreement was reached to set up the first international operation for Grey Hair Management in Cheltenham, UK.

In 2005, Jack and Scott wrote and published a self-help book for the job seeker, Winning the Job Race: Pathways Through Transition. The book details all of the elements needed to learn how to run the job race, but to also win and Paul has just completely re-edited the book for the European market.

Winning the Job Race: Pathways Through Transition is a tool for the job seeker who needs to understand the rules of the game, to reinvent him or herself in order to articulate the value and currency he or she brings to the table, to capitalise on current and future networking contacts, and to manage and control the job interview in order to win that next great opportunity. If you're looking for a new position and/or having difficulty getting on track in your job search, then this book will provide you with strategy and techniques to win the race.

The book is available on Amazon (The European edition at their .co.uk website) and in our own Grey Hair Management web store.
